Best Places to Eat Breakfast in Prairie du Chien, WI

When it comes to where to eat in Prairie du Chien for breakfast, you're in luck - there are a lot of great options! In addition to he many grab-n-go options, PdC has several sit down breakfast restaurants. We have our favorites, and depending what you're in the mood for, I'm sure you'll find something great at one of the restaurants below!

Huckleberry's

Huckleberry's has been a Prairie staple for many years. This family restaurant is very large and has a lot of seating, but due to its popularity, weekends morning may come with a short wait. You'll find all the traditional breakfast items on the menu which are served at any time of day! My best friend, who lives in PdC, never tires of their Eggs Benedict, so if you're an EB fan, I suggest you give it a try! Huck's also has a large gift shop filled with seasonal items and local treasures to bide your time while you wait!

Maggie's Diner

While not technically in Prairie du Chien, it's just a short hop, skip and a jump across the bridge (6.7 miles to be exact!) from the Corner Cottage outside of McGregor, IA. Inside, you'll find a diner style vibe with traditional vinyl tablecloths, paper placemats and black coffee, all served up by a delightfully friendly staff. This long-standing family run restaurant serves a full breakfast menu, with daily specials and PIE! The busy kitchen and grille area are in full view of the customers, and you can see everything being made from scratch real time. Say hi to Chelsea, our favorite server and Mike, our favorite cook when you're there!

Hungry House

And last, but certainly not least, we have the Hungry House! This long standing local favorite also serves breakfast anytime and is well known for their breakfast skillets. Sit at one of the many booths and tables or belly up to the old fashioned breakfast counter to enjoy your eats. Hungry House always has a nice selection of baked items in their case and a friendly wait staff. My personal favorite here is the corned beef and hash with eggs (yum!), give it a try!
